REQUIREMENTS
for articles submitted to the conference

1. Basic requirements for the text of the article

  1. 1.1.1. According to the Decree of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine "On increasing the requirements for professional editions included in the lists of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine" No. 7-05 / 1 dated January 15, 2003, only articles containing the following essential elements are accepted for publication:
    • • problem statement in general and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
    • • an analysis of recent researches and publications in which the solution to this problem was initiated and on which the author relies, the allocation of previously unsettled parts of the general problem to which this article is devoted;
    • • formulation of the goals of the article (statement of the task);
    • • a summary of the main research material with a full substantiation of obtained scientific results;
    • • conclusions from this research and prospects for further exploration in this direction.
  2. 1.2. The text must be presented as a WinWord (* .doc) file without the use of styled markup and executed in accordance with the model given in Appendix A.
  3. 1.3. The computer set of text should be done with the following parameters:
    • 1.3.1. The language of the article is Ukrainian or English.
    • 1.3.2. Font - Arial, size 9.
    • 1.3.3. The line spacing is single.
    • 1.3.4. Before and after the title of the article and its section must be a single line of space.
    • 1.3.5. The indent of the first line of each paragraph should be equal to 0.5 cm.
    • 1.3.6. Page options: format - A4; upper field - 2.54 cm; lower field - 2 cm; left and right fields - 1.8 cm; "Binding" - 0 cm; Edge to header and footer - 1.7 cm.
  4. 1.4. The total volume of the scientific article (together with the title, annotations, keywords, formulas, tables, drawings and sources lists) must not exceed 6 pages drawn up in accordance with clause 1.3; an introductory article for the publication of documents and materials - 1 page; reviews - 3 pages; publications in honor - 2 pages.
  5. 1.5. Materials of the article should be presented in such sequence (see appendix A):
    • 1.5.1. UDC Index (Arial, 8 pt, Bold, left alignment).
    • 1.5.2. First initials, surnames, academic degrees, academic rank (if any) or position (in the absence of a scientific degree) of each co-author; The next line is for place of work or study (Arial, 8 pt, Bold, right alignment).
    • 1.5.3. The title of the article, in the range of 5-9 words, corresponding to the content of the article, specific, without phrases such as "Research questions ...", "Some questions ...", "Problems ...", "Ways ...", etc. (Arial Black, 10 pt, large letters, center alignment).
    • 1.5.4. Annotations and keywords in Ukrainian (Arial, 8 pt, italics). Annotation in the amount of 150-250 words should correspond to the content and structure of the article. Abbreviations are not permitted except for those that are often used. The number of keywords is between 5 and 7.
    • 1.5.5. The main text of the article (with tables and figures), the volume of which should not exceed 6 pages.
    • 1.5.6. Surname of the author, degree, academic rank, place of work / study, title of the article, abstract and key words in English, drawn up in accordance with pp. 1.5.2-1.5.4 (the last name, scientific degree, academic rank and place of work of the author of the article are aligned here on the left edge).

2. Additional requirements for the text of the article

  1. 2.1. Each abbreviation should be written in brackets after the first mention of the corresponding full phrase. Only then you can use the abbreviation.
  2. 2.2. Set an indistinguishable space between the initials and the last name (keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + interval). This requirement applies both to the surname of the author of the article and to all the names given in the main text of the article.
  3. 2.3. Between the numerical value and the unit of measurement should be entered in an indissoluble interval.
  4. 2.4. Sources from the list of literature you should put in the text in square brackets, for example: [1], [1, p. 5], [4, p. 5; 8, p. 10–11].
  5. 2.5. Basic rules for alphabetical placement of bibliographic records:
    • • in case of coincidence of the first word of the name you should place sources according to the alphabet of the second word, and so on;
    • • in case of the works of one author sources should be given by the alphabet of the first word of the individual works;
    • • in the case of the coincidence of the names and initials of the authors you should give sources in the alphabet of works;
    • • at first you should add archival sources, then literature.
  6. 2.6. Archival sources should be executed in accordance with the recommendations of the Higher Attestation Commission (see: "Bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission" №3, 2010 – http://www.archives.gov.ua/Publicat/AU/AU_6_2009/34.pdf ). See Appendix B.
  7. 2.7. All quotations must be in ukrainian language (regardless of the original language) and accompanied by references to the source and specific page of source.
  8. 2.8. All tables should have headers (a separate paragraph of the text above a table). There should be links to all tables and drawings in the main text.
  9. 2.9. All drawings must be accompanied by signatures (in separate paragraph at the bottom of the drawing; the signature must not be an element of the drawing).
  10. 2.10. Formulas in articles should be typed only using the formula editor (Microsoft Equation or MathType Equation), the font of the main characters is Times New Roman, size 11;
  11. 2.11. Terminology in the article must meet scientific standards and be entrusted with special glossaries.

3. Requirements for drawings

  1. 3.1. Work with scanned images.
    • 3.1.1. Preparing scanned images in graphic editors (e.g., Adobe Photoshop):
      • • scan images with a resolution of 300-600 dpi (dots per inch), the option is configured directly in the scan dialog;
      • • delete all text items in the scanned image;
      • • "clean" the drawing - pick up dirt in the form of dots, unnecessary strokes, etc .;
      • • ready to use images save in formats: * .jpg - for black and white printing; * .tiff - for color printing.
    • 3.1.2. Work with prepared scanned images in Microsoft Word:
      • • in the menu "Insert" select "Object";
      • • in the popup window, select the "Microsoft Word Drawing" option;
      • • in the new document perform the operations of inserting of prepared scanned drawing and adding the text elements using the inscriptions ("Insert" inscription or the tool "Drawing");
      • • close the drawing.
  2. 3.2. When working with images in specialized editors, do not insert the text elements of the drawing using them, but do so in Microsoft Word.
  3. 3.3. Work with schemes made using the tools of the "Drawing" panel of Microsoft Word:
    • • in the menu "Insert" select "Object";
    • • in the popup window, select the "Microsoft Word Drawing" option;
    • • using the "Drawing" panel, create the required schema;
    • • close the drawing;
    • • Arial font size: 8, bold (Newspaper), Times New Roman, size 9, bold (book editions).
  4. 3.4. Images from the Internet must meet the requirements specified in 3.1.1.
  5. 3.5. Images that do not meet the above requirements must be replaced or deleted.

4. Reservation

  1. 4.1. Unacceptable:
    • • submission of materials in violation of the rules established by the publishing house;
    • • representation of texts created using automatic translation programs;
    • • representation of unprepared, incomplete "raw" materials;
    • • the detention by the authors of materials provided by the publishing house for verification.

  2. In the case of violations mentioned in clause 4.1, the author of the article will be denied publication.

Materials that do not meet the requirements mentioned above but have been reviewed by the editorial board will be published in the appendix to the newsletter with the conference materials.
